SEO Metro Partners with Dallas Bartenders

Dallas SEO firm SEO Metro teams up with Dallas Bartenders for a late move push to drive traffic in for the holiday season. Dallas Bartenders are now offering full catering services in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area 365 days a year. The beverage company is now partnering with a full catering service business to offer beverage services, to box lunches, to full-scale high-end service and food delivery that is offered in-house and on client premises. All food services, menus and alcohol drinks will be available year round and anywhere in Texas that alcohol is allowed.

"Dallas Bartenders are very excited to have the sky open to them as far as food, beverage and service delivery", according to Daniel Levarion who has interest in the business venture.

SEO Metro accepts the challenge as the holiday season is coming quickly and understands that fast moves need to happen in order to have success this fall and winter.

Yahoo Employs Search Suggestion

Yahoo is about to launch Search Suggest in the UK that assist users when a search query is typed. The US Yahoo search suggestion was launched last July in the United States and the search tool can be turned off by clicking "more" in the upper toolbar and then "Disable Search Suggestions".

I would be curious to see how many people actually use search suggestions as it appears to me to be easier to finish typing the query versus stopping or reading what is coming up beneath the search box and using the mouse or arrow buttons to scroll down and enter the suggested search.

Federal Search Engine Delaying

The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act is not being pursued in a timely fashion, according to the Washington Post's blog, The Trail. This should be of no surprise to anyone who is familiar with the Federal Government and its spending, credibility and accountability. The law states that the individual Federal agencies must make available all information regarding their funding and to what companies were funded so the information could be gathered where online searches would reveal Federal funding and the companies that were funded.

Presidential candidates were asked to sign a pledge that they would sign an executive order within the first 30 days of their Presidency to mandate all agencies to immediately work on presenting the information but only three candidates signed the pledge: Obama, Brownback and Paul. No reasons were given by the other Presidential candidates for not signing the pledge. The other candidates were reported by the Reason Foundation to have "dodged" questioning.

What will be interesting is to see what type search engine is used. The searches that are speculated to be in the top are for the agencies, FEMA, the Defense Department and Department of Transportation.

Google Changes Top Ad Placement Formula

Well, for all those that are dependent upon adwords for online sales should take notice that the formula has changed that puts ads above the natural Google results. Google's post reports, "the key change to the formula is how we consider price." They continue on about how the top ad was affected by the bidding of other adword buyers.

Google continues on about the quality of the ad that will effect the cost with the higher quality ad being able to deliver a lower cost. The actual minimum price is what it takes to allow ads to reach the top above the natural search results.

I believe Dallas SEO will continue 100% with organic search optimization and will not even consider the PPC campaigns.

Choosing SEO Companies

What is amazing to me is to see PR announcements that so-and-so chose SEO company, "We Don't Know Nada About SEO". This particular SEO company, is actually an embarrassment to the whole SEO community, will remain anonymous. They define organic search engine optimization as 'attaining higher results on search engines by making the pages more search engine friendly'. What!?!? So the more search engine friendly the higher the placement on the results pages? Poppycock.

This website is obviously an off-shoot from some web design company who thinks they know SEO and are experts at SEO, how typical. This particular website has no web presence at all and this is the first time I have seen the site after viewing many local companies. The only way they could have gotten the SEO contract is through doing the web design for the company who is just entering the internet market for the first time.

If the company that accepted their SEO services would have the wit just to Google and try to find the company they would never be found to obtain the job. Absolutely incredible. In fact, the press release had a link back to the company with the text Dallas SEO, however, only Dallas was the link, not the entire keyword phrase Dallas SEO.

Here are some stats using a whois service on the SEO company:
  1. Title Relevancy: 83%
  2. Description Relevency: 61%
  3. SEO Score 87%
  4. Images: 44 (missing 43 alt tags)
  5. Links: 50 (no external links)
Next time the hiring company should choose a real Dallas SEO Company.

Google Saving Energy

Recently a friend pointed out that the white background to Google used more energy that a black background and that Google had come out with a solution using a dark background on their search results called "Blackle". I actually thought it was a spoof until I Googled for Blackle and found it to be true. Below the search bar is the amount of watts/hour saved by people using Blackle. I think it may be a bit subjective to actual users machines but still very interesting and hey if we can save energy then why not?

Our Dallas SEO company will bookmark and use the dark background to save energy for the company plus it is just a little less pollution so we should help the environment with less pollution to fuel our computers.
