Google Saving Energy

Recently a friend pointed out that the white background to Google used more energy that a black background and that Google had come out with a solution using a dark background on their search results called "Blackle". I actually thought it was a spoof until I Googled for Blackle and found it to be true. Below the search bar is the amount of watts/hour saved by people using Blackle. I think it may be a bit subjective to actual users machines but still very interesting and hey if we can save energy then why not?

Our Dallas SEO company will bookmark and use the dark background to save energy for the company plus it is just a little less pollution so we should help the environment with less pollution to fuel our computers.
